The ATOZ Foundation celebrates 10 years in existence

Paragraph article

Yesterday evening, the ATOZ Foundation celebrated its 10-year anniversary at MUDAM Luxembourg, gathering representatives from a number of associations the Foundation has supported across the past ten years.

The ATOZ Foundation was established in 2012, under the aegis of the Fondation de Luxembourg, and since then has actively sought to sponsor educational and social cohesion projects for children and young adults across the Grand Duchy, the Grande Région and abroad.

The Foundation continuously aims to help non-profit organisations in their efforts to support young populations, allowing them to lift themselves out of hardship, strengthen their capacities and find their own way to improve their living conditions through education.

The Foundation’s goal is to make a difference in the lives of children and their families, whether it be school construction, extracurricular activities, training for income-generating activities, medical research or working in close partnership with the University of Luxembourg to give students opportunities to get closer to a real-world experience in the field of tax law.

Christian Schaack, Chairman of the ATOZ Foundation, says “It is an honour for me to have been the Chairman of the ATOZ Foundation for the first ten years of its existence. I am particularly proud of the various project in education our Foundation has supported over the years. Education is the foundation for improving the standard of living and the quality of life of individuals and of society. Improved living conditions promote economic development, security, and ultimately, one may hope, stability, peace and democracy.”

Fatah Boudjelida, ATOZ Managing Partner – Operations & Member of the ATOZ Foundation Management Board and Technical Committee, says “The importance of receiving an education is universal. Whether it be supporting schools thousands of kilometres away in in South America or Asia, or helping children here in Luxembourg, by making sure the next generation is given the opportunities needed to succeed, we also ensure that the world becomes a better place for each and every one of us. As we look towards the future, we will continue to closely evaluate projects for feasibility, professionalism, longevity and purpose, we will fund projects that we believe in and we will strive to help, however modestly, the children of our world to achieve their own personal greatness.”

During the evening, members of the Management Board and the Technical Committees shared insights into the projects they have supported, including words from Prof. Dr. Werner Haslehner, LL.M (LSE), the current holder of the ATOZ Chair for European and International Tax Law at the University of Luxembourg, and had the opportunity to raise a glass to the Foundation and its future.

The ATOZ Foundation takes this opportunity to thank all the partners it has worked with over the past 10 years, as well as those we will continue to partner with going forward.
